Lusaka Fresh Index is operated by Dongo Intelligence Ltd, a company registered in Zambia. We publish indicative fresh produce prices from Lusaka markets to help households, traders, farmers, and food businesses make informed decisions.

What data we collect and why

We only collect personal data when you actively provide it — specifically when you apply to become a contributor:

• Full name — to identify your account and credit your contributions
• Email address — to verify your identity and communicate with you
• Phone number — optional, used only for admin follow-up if needed
• Market or district — to assess your application and assign you relevant data collection tasks
• Experience / reason for applying — to evaluate your application

Public visitors browsing prices do not need to provide any personal data.

How we store and protect your data

• All data is stored on a secured server in a password-hashed, encrypted form
• The site is served exclusively over HTTPS
• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt — we cannot see your password
• Access to contributor data is restricted to the Dongo Intelligence team only

Who can access your data

Only the Dongo Intelligence Ltd team has access to personal data submitted through this site. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties without your explicit consent.

How long we keep your data

Your personal data is held for as long as your contributor account is active. If your application is rejected, your data is deleted immediately. If you wish to have your account and data deleted at any time, contact us and we will action it within 14 days.

Your rights

Under Zambia's Data Protection Act 2021, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time
